Warm blankets are still in high need and more children than ever rely on Binky Patrol's homemade blankets to give them comfort and a reminder that they are not forgotten or invisible - we see them and care. Please consider joining us for another fast-paced event to pull together and make more blankets to comfort teens, children and babies in need - in addition to some adults faced with desperate circumstances. You can truly make a difference in their lives by choosing to help us this day!
Last April, we had nearly 70 hands helping to make over 100 blankets in half a
day. Think we can beat that this time??
If so, we're going to need a
lot of sewers and helpers to sign up for another go! Also, we encourage you to forward this email to friends who you think might enjoy the Bink
experience. We're hoping to get 30-40 sewing machine volunteers and 50-60 helpers to January's event to deepen our impact!
Also, for those who have a couple Bink-a-thons under your belt -- We would once again LOVE to have some veterans helping to serve as "area experts" this time around to help answer questions as you work. We'll give you a fun star to wear on your name tag and you'll be showered with appreciation! :) We'd love to have experts in the areas of:
- topper sewing (sewing machine brigade)
- sandwich making (helpers)
- sandwich pinning (helpers)
- label hand-sewers (helpers)
- blanket finishing (sewing machine brigade)
Respond to this email if you'd like to join the "area experts" crew and help us make this next Bink-a-thon the smoothest one yet!
Hope you can join in the fun this time around & thank you for considering this request – your help means a lot!
